I wanted to see where I could hire a good singer for a party at the company I own. I had never hired any type of entertainer before, but I knew that some had to be available. It is very rare for me to go out for a night on the town with friends. They all like to go clubbing, but I prefer to spend my time with them doing other things. They convinced me to go though when one of the girls in our group got a promotion, and they even said we had a designated driver. I took only a small amount of cash with me and my house key. I guess you can predict what happened when I contacted a locksmith about lost keys in Brisbane!

I got a little too happy knowing that I was not going to be responsible for getting myself home. We went to a few different places, and I have no idea where I lost my key. When my friend drove me home and I realized I lost it, I crashed at her place that night. The next morning, we called all the places we had been but no one had found a key. I did not realize it, but I was running out to the store before I went to visit my friends for the holidays and I accidentally left my keys on the inside of the apartment on the table. I went out and had a great night and got home late and I realized that I could not get into my apartment. I had to call someone that would be able to come to my apartment to change locks in Brisbane and I knew that my big mistake was going to cause a big hole in my bank account. I could not call the man that manages my building because he was going to tell the landlord that I did it again and I did not want to wake him up to have him come up to my floor so I would have to hear him. Most people have something that they worry about when they get older. Some worry about getting fat, and others worry about problems with their bones. For me, it was always the thought of losing my hair. When I saw my hair thinning in the mirror, I started to panic. I have never been bothered by weather forecasts that threatened high winds or thunderstorms. I have a lot of trees, but they are very strong and sturdy. I have a Queens tree service that comes out on a regular basis and prune them, making them even healthier and able to withstand a lot of what Mother Nature may throw at them. Well, that way of thinking worked for me for over 20 years, but my streak was broken with a late summer storm last year. One of oak trees was struck by lightning, and down she came.

That alone would have been okay, but it fell at the wrong angle. Instead of just hitting the ground, it hit my neighbor’s back porch. That is how huge this tree was. I imagine it was easily 60 foot tall if not taller. Continue reading →

We had a really nasty snow storm last night and not only was the snow wet and heavy, there were terrible winds as well. I knew I had to find a Long Island tree company to come and look at my trees before the next storm but I did not, and as a result I had a tree fall in my backyard. Our daughter is suddenly very into video games. Our son has been playing for years, and his sister took an interest after watching him play. However, he is much older than she is and he’s more interested in hanging out with his friends while he plays. I could see that she was really disappointed by that, so I used some Virtual Families 2 cheats so that I could catch up in the game to where she is. Rather than ask her outright if she wanted me to play with her, I simply started playing the game. I did that so that she would not feel that she needed to tell me that she didn’t want me to play. The plan worked perfectly, and now she is happy to have someone to talk to about the game with her.
